Dear friends,
It's hard to believe another season is winding down!
Thank you to everyone who pre-ordered from our greenhouse this spring and planted a garden of their own, or stopped by our roadside stand this summer for our fresh sweet corn - hopefully, you got your fill!
As we continue to shape Iowa Grown into the farming business we want and need it to be, we've decided it's time to let the Christmas Tree Market chapter come to a close.
To everyone who has picked out a tree, wreath, or garland from us over the past five years - thank you! We're honored that you chose to make us part of your holiday tradition.
As many of you know, we've been making big changes to our farming operation to find a more balanced lifestyle. That means, taking a closer look at where we put our time and energy, and making room for the parts of farming we want to focus on.
We find most of our joy in growing food and plants, and that's where our energy will continue to be directed.
Looking ahead to 2027, we're excited to continue operating our greenhouse and offering plant starts in the spring, as well as growing sweet corn and perhaps a few other specialty crops.
We're also looking forward to continuing to nurture the collaborations and partnerships we've created over the past few years. We will share more details as the plans for next growing season fall into place.
Until then, we hope you find warmth, rest, and plenty of good things to enjoy this winter. ♥

Dear friends,
As we look ahead to this coming season, we want to share where we've been and where we're headed.
2025 was a transitional year for us, one that invited reflection and experimentation, and a deeper look at how we can continue to farm in a way that achieves a more sustainable and balanced lifestyle. Through that process we found exciting new partnerships that are shaping the future of our work.
We're grateful to have found a partnership with Walker Homestead where we'll continue to collaborate and grow food for their restaurant and event venue. We're also collaborating with Troutleaf Natives to grow native perennial plant starts, working with Seed Savers Exchange to grow crops specifically for seed, and plan on growing sweet corn that will be available for the public from our roadside, self-serve stand. We have a sense of renewed excitement as we can more clearly see a path that aligns with our future goals and the long-term sustainability of our farming operation.
Along with this work, we strongly believe in empowering people to grow food in their own yards and gardens. Starting in February, you can visit our online store and pre-order greenhouse starts for your home garden. This season, all plant starts will be sold by pre-order only. Details including varieties, sizing and pick up information is available on our online store and website.
As always, we are deeply grateful for your continued support, encouragement, and trust as we navigate the future of our farming business. Thank you for being there with us on our journey. We couldn't have done it without you ♥
